Exploring how carefully designed AI decision support could help prehospital professionals interpret complex information while preserving clinical judgement, responsibility and patient safety.


How might AI support trauma assessment when information is incomplete, conditions change rapidly and several signals must be considered at once? The project examines where computational support may be useful, where it may introduce new risk, and how professional judgement must remain central.
The inquiry considers the interaction between clinicians, patients, information, medical technology, procedures, teams and organisational context. It treats AI as one component in a wider care system, not as an isolated technical solution.
The current phase is exploratory. It does not claim clinical validation, improved patient outcomes or regulatory approval. Any future clinical research would require appropriate governance, ethics review, data protection, professional involvement and patient-safety assessment.
